Making Christ Known
What does it mean to "make Christ known?"
means preaching the word, the whole word. We alternate between the Old and
New Testament, going verse-by-verse through each book. We do not skip hard passages,
nor gloss over topics. We preach the whole scripture.
It means telling
others about Jesus Christ and what He has done. Most people, including most
of those who call themselves Christian, do not know Jesus... and He does not know
them (read Matthew 7:21-23). We provide many free resources (books, DVDs, tracts,
etc.), and we are willing to talk about Jesus and scripture with anyone who will
It means loving others and living a life based on scripture.
In our brokeness we often fail. Knowing that we are broken we put our eyes on
the cross, we fill our hearts and minds with scripture, and with constant prayer
we strive to show Biblical love to everyone we encounter.
Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyednot only in
my presence, but now much more in my absencecontinue to work out your salvation
with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in
order to fulfill his good purpose. Do everything without grumbling or arguing,
so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault
in a warped and crooked generation. Then you will shine among them like
stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life. -
Laying aside falsehood, speak
truth each one of you with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.
- Ephesians 4:25
All Scripture is inspired by
God and profitable for teaching, or reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;
so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.
- 2 Timothy 3:16-17
